V1R-2012 A-class

Small changes in hull shape.
New curved daggerboards.

In the pictures you can see the changes we made for 2012.

A small change in the hullshape for the  V1R-2012.

We have reduced the volume in the widest central part off the hull at the waterline. This resulted in a straighter and slimmer hull which will give us a better upwind performance.

The slimmer hull also reduces drag and leeward drift. Another advantage is less pitch. The overall result of this change for 2012 will be more speed upwind with less leeward drift and less pitching.

The new 2012 17,0 cm curved daggerboards with a assymetrical profile will also help to reduce leeward drift upwind and create more lift downwind.The daggerboardcase makes it possible to easily adjust the daggerboards.

Ofcourse its possible to use straight daggerboards without any changes in the hull.

The beams for 2012 are profiled and closed at the end. No caps anymore.

The V1R-2012 comes with a new sail made out of DIAX2 TT-RACE (twaron/kevlar) by Brinbridge.


And of course our V1R is made out of 100% carbon.
